Third up in our “Hey Chelsea” blog series is CAPIC’s Child Development Center.

The Child Development Center run by Community Action Program Inter-City Inc. (CAPIC) in Chelsea has 7 classrooms for children ranging in age from 2 months to 12 years. Pictured below, Director Diane Harrington stands with two of her infant classroom teachers, Maria and Lily. Nancy and Angela are teachers in one of the two toddler rooms. In addition to the child development program, CAPIC also runs its after-school program here for kids aged 5 to 12 years. The program employs 24 people, many of whom are residents of Chelsea.
