Driven by community

Corporate giving and volunteerism are a core part of our company’s culture. We value the relationships we have established over the years with our tenants, local non-profits, charitable organizations, community groups, public officials, area business owners, and neighbors. We  invest wholly in the communities in which we work and call home.

our developments
make a difference

Our developments mesh with and enhance the communities that they belong to. They become integral to the connected success of the surrounding area and provide growth opportunities for the future.

the
malden river walk

We invest directly into the communities we serve, and our own backyard is no exception.

Working with the City of Malden & community leaders, Combined Properties emboldened the central business district & surrounding neighborhoods & we continue to play an important role in revitalizing the bucolic nature of the Malden River with the ongoing installation of walking paths and replanting of native species.

historic partnership with the
rowing Community

In 1999, Combined Properties’ very own John Pereira and Chris Maietta introduced Tufts University Head Coach Gary Caldwell to the Malden River as the potential launching site for future recreational & competitive rowing.

Today, many surrounding universities, local high schools, and community programs continue to have a home on the Malden River.

timeline

Local well-being at the:
malden ymca

For over seven years Combined Properties served as an active development partner for the Malden YMCA, overseeing fundraising, design, and construction of the new facility.  Combined Properties’ President, John Pereira, was chairman of the capital campaign, the building committee, and served on the board of directors for five years. Upon delivery, the new, state-of-the-art, $15 million Malden YMCA doubled the size of the previous facility. The excitement surrounding this new development caused membership to increase 9 times over.

a culture of giving with
the jeans fund

A visit to Combined Properties’s office on a Friday will reveal a casual look for employees. Jeans are typical on Fridays, but the casual dress code doesn’t come without a price – one that employees are pleased to pay! Jeans mean support for local charities and recent individual employee donations have supported the following organizations:

breast cancer awareness month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Combined Properties staff gets decked out in pink shirts and jeans, doing their part to raise awareness and funds in support of a cure. This cause hits especially close to home for Combined Properties, as it does for so many. In a gesture of solidarity, the team at Combined Properties stands united, donating the monies raised to Lee National Denim Day: one cause, one cure.

a long standing relationship with
triangle, inc

Combined Properties has a long-standing relationship with Triangle Inc., a Malden-based organization helping over 2,000 people with disabilities gain job skills and economic self sufficiency. President of Combined Properties, John Pereira, has previously served as president of Triangle’s board of directors, and continues to support the org to this day.
